Central City Community Information Meeting

We would like you to join us in a community-wide meeting on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, between 4 – 6 pm at the Railroad Depot, across from the Big T Lot and next to the Hawley Building. We will share our exciting plans and recent progress. We hope you join us in our support of the Gilpin County Historical Society as they present their plan to the City Council meeting at 7PM, that evening. We continue to gather community ideas of how to use this opportunity for the benefit  of the citizens and community of Central City.

The new Central City Railroad & Mining Museum, a non-profit 501-C-3 is restoring old Colorado Central Section House and Depot at 220 Spring Street and other properties and land, with the intent to restore old # 71 to operating condition as the centerpiece of the new museum to attract tourism back to Central  City and Gilpin County.

Our plans will help other non-profits in the community and create activities that can bring new life to town. We look forward to ongoing input from the community.
